English name: Shepherd's purse
Scientific name: Capsella bursa pastoris
Familia: Brassicaceae
Classis: Dicotylodones
Phylum: Angiospermae
Regnum: Plantae
Pollen grains germinate on the surface of the stigma and form each an own pollen tube that grows through the transmitting track in the style (trajectory indicated by white line 3) to the ovary (out of view here). Each pollen tube carries a pair of (male) sperm cells to the embryo sac where double fertilization occurs. A zygote is formed which gives rise to an embryo.
Proceed to the early embryonal stage
